Grammy Academy Welcomes MOGmusic. Its really a good year for Ghana Music Industry as Pastor Nana Yaw Boakye, a highly acclaimed Ghanaian gospel artist known as MOGmusic, has achieved a significant milestone by being accepted as a member of the esteemed Grammy Academy. This notable accomplishment marks him as the first Ghanaian gospel artist to receive this recognition, and it was duly approved by the Grammy Board.

He earlier today tweeted;

Expressing his delight upon hearing the news, MOGmusic stated, “This is a realization of a long-held aspiration. It represents the highest point that every musician strives to reach. I am proud to once again place Ghana on the global music map.” He also emphasized that his inclusion in the academy serves as a source of motivation for him to continue his musical journey as a gospel artist.

ImageEarlier this year, MOGmusic elevated hismusic career to new heights with the release of his latest album, titled ‘Koinonia Phase II’. This album builds upon the success of its predecessor, ‘Koinonia Phase I’, which was launched the previous year and achieved international recognition with chart-topping tracks like “Grace,” “Mala,” “Your Presence,” “Almighty God,” “Choral Praise,” “Glory to the Lamb,” and “There’s Power.” The new album boasts eight songs and features collaborations with renowned gospel musicians such as Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Pastor Kojo Frimpong, Ps Shadrack Mensah Kwesi, Joey Saff, and Kobby Salm.

The album includes the tracks “Nyankopong,” “Glorious,” “Holy Chant,” “We Cry Yahweh” featuring Pastor Kojo Frimpong, “Be Lifted Medley” featuring Donnie McClurkin, “Covenant Keeper,” “Yesu” featuring Joey Saff and Kobby Salm, and “African Praise” featuring Ps Shadrack Mensah Kwesi. MOGmusic has released numerous songs throughout his career, including the award-winning “Be Lifted,” “Elohim,” “Living God,” and many others.

In addition to his contributions as a singer and songwriter in the gospel music industry, MOGmusic is also a pastor at the Royalhouse Chapel International. He has been honored with the prestigious title of Best Male Vocalist of the Year at the VGMA awards for two consecutive years.
